Fresh Air, Green Grass and Sunshine
Sunworks Farm is the home of Ron and Sheila Hamilton located near Armena, AIberta.
We are guided by our values and strongly believe in the principals of organic and holistic agriculture, as well as the importance of ethical/humane handling of all creatures, including our farm animals.
We are committed to marketing as much of our products as possible directly to the consumer. In this way, we can offer the highest quality meats and eggs at a fair price.
Certified Organic Chicken and Eggs
We receive our chicken and turkey chicks when they are less than 12 hours old straight from the hatchery. The first food and water that they receive is at our farm. They are placed in nice warm clean barns that have lots of water, feed, clean shavings and natural light. They are given lots of room to grow, move and run around.
Certified Organic Beef
Our beef is 100 % grass finished. Our cattle are time controlled grazed in the summer and are fed organic hay on the pasture in the winter. The cattle are not given any grains or grain by-products. Only high quality grass or hay.
Certified Organic Pork
Our pigs are raised on the pasture. They are free to eat the grass and be in the fresh air and sunshine. The pigs are moved regularly onto fresh pasture and are provided with free choice certified organic grains.
Organic Sausages, Bacon and Deli Meats
All of our sausages, bacon, ham’s and deli meats contain only certified organic meat, certified organic spices and certified organic maple syrup or honey. We believe that you should know exactly what you’re eating without having to get out the dictionary or be a chemist.
